Getting there and away

Kathmandu is the starting point and Pokhara is the ending point of Poon Hill Trek. If you want to fly Kathmandu to Pokhara, it takes 25 minutes. We can go directly Kathmandu to trekking starting point Nayapul using Bus or Microbus. Kathmandu to Nayapul takes about 10 hours by driving.

The Poon Hill itinerary will be 3,4,5,6 and 7 days according to your choice from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. But if you want to do this trek in 3 days, you need strong physical fitness. You can also extend days using another trekking route 2 days more using Landruk, Tolka, Deurali, Pothana, and Dhampus. But in 4 days we will go directly Poonhill and return back the same route until trekking finished point. You can do this like this option mention.

Detailed Itinerary of 4 Days Poon Hill trek

Day 1: Kathmandu to Birethanti

The first day drive up to Nayapul which takes approx 9 hours by Local Bus. And from there we will stroll to Sudame . It takes approx 1:30 minutes to reach Sudame from Nayapul.

Day 2: Sudame to Ghorepani

2 nd day is up to Ghorepani(2870)which is the main point of interest. It takes about 7 to 8 hrs from Sudame. You will pass trail through the beautiful forest. Approx 4 hours from starting point we will be in Ghorepani.

Day :3 Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

3rd day wake up early morning 5 am then hike to get Poon Hill. This day is one of the most exciting days as we can have the sunrise view of those panoramic mountain chains which glitters like gold on sunrise. After having a view of sunrise at Viewpoint, we will back to Ghorepani and take breakfast. After breakfast, we need to walk 5 hours to reach Tadapani.

Day 4: Trek to Ghandruk and Drive to Pokhara

We will walk up to Ghandruk around 3 hours.The Ghandruk village is one of the most popular places in the Annapurna area as one can be very close to the Gurung community, their tradition, and ethics.

From Ghandruk there are views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare and Himchuli. The fifth day ends with trekking from Ghandruk-Kimche-Nayapul and back to hotels in Pokhara.

Afterward having lunch at Ghandruk we will take Jeep from there and drive to Pokhara. It takes approx 4 hours time Ghandruk to Pokhara drive. And catch your flight to Kathmandu.

Ghorepani village is the unique settlement of Gurungs ethnic group which is rich in culture and hospitality. There are two sections of Ghorepani, Which are Lower Ghorepani and Upper Ghorepani. From Lower Ghorepani, we can see to mountain view but from the Upper Ghorepani, we can see mountain view at the close. At the evening time, the temperature goes down and in afternoon clouds cover Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range. Sunrise and Sunset from Poonhill is main focus attraction of this trek.
